The Wait

Open window, flashing Scarlet
Too brilliant to forget
Strong cord, wound securely
Flapping boldly, brazenly

Of little worth, I matter not
Imprisoned by these heavy walls
But as keeper of the Scarlet Cord
I matter much to my new Lord

All I love behind me
Held by these massive walls
Blazing faith, my only fee
Scarlet Cord, my hope for all

So eagerly I watch and wait
For flashing armor at the gate
Scarlet Cord, it seals my fate
Patience, it is not too late

I am Rahab, from of old
I speak to all, who trust and hold
Scarlet Cord, more dear than gold
In waiting ,you'll grow bold

Strong walls, they must crumble
They cannot stand ,they must tumble
Trumpet sounds, I hear the shout
All peace within, chaos without

There is no wait without an end
Victory strides around the bend
His promise made, is a promise kept
Sealed forever in bold Scarlet
